We are so excited to have new trails opening in the Oquirrhs this week. Salt Lake County will be hosting a ribbon cutting on the trails this Thursday, August 31st at 2:00 pm. The event will take place at the new bridges over Butterfield Creek about a half mile up from the canyon gate.
These new trails connect to the Yellow Fork trail system and make up phase I of a new system of trails in Butterfield Canyon. The first phase sits on a mix of Rio Tinto, BLM, and County property. We hope residents and visitors will enjoy these trails and leave inspired to preserve other areas of the Oquirrh Mountain Range.

Hello,
This is an exciting new public resource! Are dogs allowed on the trails?
