The Butterfield Peak trail offers beautiful views such as this.

Come and explore the Oquirrhs with us on Tuesday August 3rd at 7 pm.

For our first group hike we are going to explore beautiful Butterfield Peak. We will be meeting at the summit of the Butterfield Canyon road, which is also the summit of the Middle Canyon road if you are coming from Tooele. The road to the top can be rough and narrow but does not require four wheel drive. Parking at the top is limited so please try and carpool is possible. Reach out to us if you need a ride.

For this event we will have two options, a hike to the top of Butterfield Peak which is around 3.5 miles round trip and 1,700 feet of elevation gain, or an easier option that hugs the east side of the mountain for a 3 mile hike with 600 feet of elevation gain.

Bring water, a camera, good shoes/boots and any other items you may need. Restrooms and water are not available in the canyon or at the trail head unfortunately (we hope to change that someday), so plan accordingly.

Come see what the Oquirrhs have to offer, meet other people who want to protect these mountains, and enjoy some beautiful views!
